The notes of a talk given on July 11th by LRCCS faculty Professor Nico Howson have recently been released by China Civil and Commercial Law (中国民商法律网).  The forum was about the rule of law in the PRC capital market, and Professor Howson spoke about revisions to the PRC Securities Law 《证券法》.

“新的《证券法》不仅应着眼于解决诸如此次股市紧急状态的短期问题，更应当含有解决此类股市紧急状态问题的长效机制。

The new Securities Law shouldn’t only focus on the solving the short term problems of the current stock market, but should also include mechanisms for avoiding similar problems in the future.
